Growing up in Long Island my family lived in a wealthy neighborhood, however my parents were always working hard to keep up with the neighbors. Even when they couldn't afford it, they never missed an opportunity to give our family memorable experiences. At a young age I was fortunate to be introduced to the world of hospitality before I even really knew it. I was able to attend upscale events as a teenager, going to weekly extravagant Bar & Bat Mitzvahs; I went away to summer camp; we took vacations to beautiful places; we dined at the fanciest resorts, and my parents always made sure I appreciated these moments.
It was these experiences that led me to my passion for the hospitality industry. I worked every summer at event halls, hotels, coffee shops, & several restaurants from junior high until I graduated college, and I loved every minute of it!
After college I employed my degree as I pursued a career in social work. I loved the idea of helping people and giving them access and support to seek the resources they couldn’t otherwise obtain. I worked as a case manager to 150 clients and also volunteered doing crisis intervention. While all of this was exciting and fulfilling, something was missing. I asked the restaurant I worked at throughout college If I could come back for some shifts. They said yes, and once I went back to that world I knew I was meant to stay.
Cut to 10 years later and I’m still here. I've made a few stops along the way to gather skills in event management, business development, sales, staffing and food & beverage. In the last 6 years I was Director of Food and Beverage for an independent music festival promoter where I was managing F&B operations. I worked over 50 festivals with 30-40k patrons in attendance, handling over 3 Million in Food & Beverage revenue.
All of my past experiences are what led me to start Hospitality Handled. I've worn a lot of hats, and have been called a "Hospitality Swiss Army Knife". I take on any challenge that's thrown at me and I've built my work ethic on the idea that there is no problem that’s too big for me to handle, and there is no solution too small to make a revolutionary impact; where there is a will, there is a way! I have an exceptionally strong will, and I won’t stop until I find the best ways to improve your business.
HH was built on the foundation and belief in these four pillars;
Collaboration, Communication,
Respect, & Development.
When we work together, we can achieve harmony across them and create unlimited opportunities for success. With my direction your business will be an industry standout in no time!
You can consider it Handled.
